about me
Beth Scheppke (she/her) is a Certified Birth Doula (CHB), Full Spectrum Doula (Cornerstone), Lactation Consultant (Empire Lactation) and Childbirth Educator (DTI) based in Brooklyn, New York. Using nonjudgemental consulting, vetted resources, her immense knowledge of birthing in NYC and a sense of humor, Beth aims for her clients to feel seen, prepared and empowered throughout their childbearing year. As a service industry veteran and an all-around people person, Beth is drawn to this work for the genuine connections she makes with her clients. Beth strives to improve birthing experiences and outcomes for families of all kinds.
Beth began her work as a doula in 2018, and has since supported hundreds of families in all boroughs of NYC, in hospitals, birth centers and at home. She is currently on the path towards becoming at International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and plans to sit for her exam in 2026. She is also a birth assistant for a handful of home birth midwifery practices in NYC.
When she's not supporting families, Beth could be found singing with a chamber choir, running in a race or dancing in her kitchen to the radio (WFMU). She's originally from Oregon, but has called New York her home since 2016. Beth resides in East Williamsburg with her fiancé and their two cats.
